Creating a Risk-Aware Culture That Readies Your Organization for Change

Change is the only constant in today’s banking industry.  Whether driven by internal forces – new product and channel launches – or external ones – amid looming expectations for increased post-pandemic regulatory scrutiny – banking leaders need to proactively ready themselves to effectively manage their risk and nimbly react when change occurs.

Creating this system should be an enterprise effort and for some banks, a cultural shift where everyone in the organization has a role in identifying, managing and mitigating risk.

Listen as Ryan Rasske, SVP, Risk and Compliance Markets at American Bankers Association (ABA), moderates a discussion between Roland Brooks, SVP / Deputy Enterprise Risk Management Director at Huntington National Bank and Cara Williams, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance Practice Area Lead, Spinnaker Consulting. The group will share their thinking on:

  • The attributes of a risk-aware culture.
  • Necessary systems and processes to implement this cultural shift.
  • Tips for getting started and obstacles to be avoided.
