Brooke Pray is the Controller at Spinnaker Consulting Group. She focuses on ensuring the business operates efficiently while managing accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
Brooke is a licensed CPA with over 18 years of business management experience in highly regulated industries. Her areas of expertise include general accounting, risk management, consolidations, and financial and management reporting.
Prior to joining Spinnaker, Brooke was at Capital One where she served in a variety of senior accounting roles. Her most recent responsibilities focused on analyzing data and trends to leverage insights from financial results in order to inform business decisions. She also consulted with business partners throughout the company to analyze specific accounts, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policy. Before Capital One, Brooke worked in financial reporting at Markel Corporation. Brooke began her career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Brooke earned a BSBA with a major in accounting from the University of Richmond and is a Certified Public Accountant. She resides in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, their two spunky daughters, and two spoiled dogs. When not toting her daughters to their various events, Brooke enjoys spending time outside with her family, either hiking or relaxing, catching up with friends, and volunteering at her church.
