Holly Higginbotham is a Consultant in Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance at Spinnaker Consulting Group. Holly enjoys tackling tough challenges and helping teams go from “A” to “Z” in resolving issues. At Spinnaker she is applying her compliance and operational risk and control expertise to help clients solve complex business problems.
Prior to entering the compliance arena, Holly represented multiple banking clients and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as part of a small law firm where she was an associate. She then moved into a compliance role at a local community bank, where she led and managed implementation of multiple Dodd-Frank Act requirements, including Ability to Repay and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID). Before joining Spinnaker, Holly served as a Compliance Advisor at BBVA US (now PNC), where her responsibilities included identifying, assessing and advising on compliance risks and controls, as well as facilitating risk assessments. Her expertise includes regulatory compliance management, risk assessment, risk mitigation, regulatory implementation, compliance testing, compliance monitoring and regulatory affairs.
Holly has a Bachelor of Arts from Columbus State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama. She is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager. Holly lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband and young daughter. Holly is a member of the choir at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, where she also serves as the President of the Executive Committee.
