Mark Williamson is an Advisor with Spinnaker Consulting Group. Mark has been driving operational improvement for more than 20 years across numerous industries. His demonstrated capabilities are in process engineering, executive coaching, change management, strategy & transformation, and operations excellence.
Driving operational performance provides Mark the most fulfillment. Toward this end, he has coached executives at numerous companies to include Fortune 500 corporations. A former naval officer, Mark has spent his entire career driving operational change and improvement. Prior to consulting, he served as Vice President of Transformation for a large consumer products manufacturer, driving $815MM in operational, organizational, and cost improvements across the enterprise during his last year alone.
An advocate of disciplined operations, Mark has assisted companies in establishing process & procedure, aligning incentives, and developing business systems. Transformation support has ranged across industries to include consumer products, healthcare, and non-profit. Supported capabilities have included operations, finance, commercial, and human resources.
Mark has a B.S. and M.S. of Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and the University of Florida respectively. He also received his MBA from the University of Maryland. In addition to six sigma, Mark is certified in numerous problem solving and decision making methodologies to include Kepner-Tregoe, Cause Mapping, and PROACT. Raised in a rural Illinois town, he now resides in the Richmond, VA area with his wife and two children where his free time is spent planning the family’s next adventure.
