Scott Mainwaring brings extensive experience building and leading multichannel, complex operations over the past 30 years, serving as Vice President/Director at five Fortune 500 financial services and healthcare companies, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One and GDIT, where he led the development and scaling of $300mm omnichannel organization from 2500 to over 9000 FTE in six months.
While at Capital One, Scott operationalized $10mm in technology to support safe and secure infrastructure for agent Work@Home remote workforce. Also at Capital One, Scott gained significant experience in outsourcing where he oversaw credit card business operations first line of defense support across Sales, Service, Collections, and Recoveries, where he demonstrated strong controls and governance, risk management, and supply chain management skills.
Scott has a proven track record of achievement, building performance-based cultures, setting strategic direction, and leading complex multi-site and remote workforce organizations. Scott demonstrated this expertise at Iggbo, a start-up where he built the strategy and architected the solution for the company’s decision support systems, cloud-based CRM, and outsourcing strategy. He is a results-driven professional with a high focus on metrics and a collaborative team philosophy centered on engagement, performance, and accountability.
An experienced leader, Scott has deep knowledge in financial services and healthcare operations, including outsourcing (Certified Risk Vendor Program Manager II), and utilizes his strong background in risk management, transformation, and analytics (Six Sigma Green Belt certified) to support and deliver strong results. Additionally, as a consultant, Scott has led end-to-end risk assessments including supplier due diligence, site visits, and contract redline reviews for third party suppliers and acted as a second line of defense Compliance Advisor for third party managers throughout companywide rollout of new TPRM model.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Richmond. In his free time, Scott plays competitive tennis, travels with his family, and has been enjoying (most of the time!) renovating his 100-year-old Revival house in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Fan district. He is an active volunteer at Sportable, an organization that transforms the lives of people with visual and physical disabilities through sport.
