Mega’s career began in retail banking with a super-regional financial institution, National City, at a time when branch banking was thought to be the new frontier in revenue generation. Capitalizing on her knowledge of branch banking, Mega played a pivotal role in creating sales enablement strategies, designing, and modeling incentive plans with a $30M budget, and consulting on CRM technology transformations. Pivoting into Credit Risk as the Credit Executive of Default Strategy at PNC Bank during the housing crisis in the early 2000s, she brought strategic thinking and process discipline to stabilize $49 billion in various assets by establishing a governance and oversight committee and working with the OCC and the newly forming CFPB to translate regulatory guidance into internal policies. 

Mega joined Key Bank as Division Manager, Consumer Loan Services to transform the performance of the Consumer Loan Servicing function and restore high quality, efficient operational processes to the division that supported 777k accounts. Mega subsequently took ownership of the Default Management Division bringing sound leadership and applying a deep, fundamental understanding of how to best operationalize tasks and controls in alignment with regulatory expectations, as measured by audit outcomes. 

Mega expanded her technical experience on the Strategic Operations & Lending Transformation Team at KeyBank, leading the Risk and Compliance workstream and acting as the liaison between the executive sponsor and the legal, compliance, and operational leaders to achieve regulatory obligations through technology implementation. 

Mega directed and grew the Client Success organization at TrueAccord, providing executive leadership focused on client retention. She led the development and implementation of aggressive strategies to drive business growth and optimize operations. Mega interfaced with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Product Officer, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Compliance Officer to ensure client expectations were achieved and to drive optimal performance across the inventory. 

Additional accomplishments include:

  • - Leveraging an Agile approach and expertise in RPA technology Mega identified $10M in savings through process automation at a Fortune 250 bank.
  • - Drove technology enhancements and additions to improve client performance leading to an increase of inventory by an impressive 45% year over year. 
  • - Successfully navigated 2 CFPB consent orders, bringing several MRA’s to resolution.
Mega earned a B.S. in Political Science from John Carroll University and an M.S. in Organizational Design and Change Leadership from The Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University. Mega has certifications in Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, Executive Coaching, and Appreciative Inquiry, which is centered on positive transformation. Mega is dedicated to helping people grow in professional and personal relationships by building on individual strengths. This dedication has led Mega to serve on the board of nonprofits in a variety of capacities, serving as a board member for Blessings in a Backpack and Women in Touch With Akron’s Needs. Attending Broadway musicals brings joy to Mega and her family. Her tween recently began acting in local community theatres in the ensemble casts.
