Belinda is a Consultant in Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance with Spinnaker Consulting Group. With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, Belinda brings to Spinnaker a depth of knowledge across risk management, compliance, banking, home loans, auto, operations, and program and project management. She has a track record of driving process efficiencies, increasing employee engagement, and developing successful programs to manage and mitigate risk.
Belinda has had various roles as a consultant with Spinnaker, including designing and implementing various processes and procedures for various clients within risk management, compliance, home loans, auto and project management. She has been an individual contributor in many initiatives as well as engaging and leading team work to analyze risk and compliance issues and identify gaps and weaknesses within existing programs and processes.
Prior to joining Spinnaker, Belinda worked for Fortune 100 financial service companies, including Capital One, leading business risk teams, top risks, service level quality programs, and project and program implementations. In addition, she developed and led a compliance program, new system implementation, and the training and management of business risk teams at a $15B company. Belinda has developed her expertise and leadership by regularly being asked to lead process improvements and regulatory matters requiring attention, as well as develop and build new programs. Today she leverages these experiences to help her clients meet the changing demands of the industry.
Belinda is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager. She has attended the University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, Kirchman Regulatory, Institute of Certified Bankers, and American Institute of Banking. She resides in Florida with her fur babies. When she’s not supporting her clients, Belinda is looking for new places to explore. Belinda enjoys traveling by air as she pursues her pilot’s license, and on foot as an avid runner. The recipient of multiple recognitions for her philanthropy, Belinda enjoys spending time as a YWCA youth mentor, Habitat for Humanity volunteer, and Humane Society Board Member and volunteer.
